Crop the Culture
Putting the culture in agriculture
Eating Sustainably
How should we eat? There's no one answer; choosing a diet that both works well with your lifestyle and mitigates environmental impact can be complicated and overwhelming. On top of that, greenwashing, fad diets, and competing industries makes it difficult to know what the right choice is to begin with. Crop the Culture will work to clarify some of these issues, and provide youth with a new form of research-based activism.
Getting Involved
Crop the Culture wants to provide everyone a unique activism experience. We're looking to find culture in some of our favorite things on the planet: climate activism and food. In the past few weeks, we've held two separate online/in-person meetings to discuss CTC's structure, values, and ideas for our work. In these meetings, we were able to establish that we will be working especially hard towards accessibility, cultural involvement, and transparency as we navigate the complicated issue of eating sustainably. Soon we'll be starting up on projects, so make sure to join our Slack if interested. The link to the Slack is at the bottom of the page, and all direct communication for CTC will be carried out there. Tell your friends and family and get everyone involved and excited for the things we can accomplish! We're looking to make creative recipes, sustainable eating guides, nutrition studies, local and global research, and more, all to help increase everyone's awareness while choosing what we eat. New achievements will be posted on the blog and CTC page, so keep in touch on the website as well!
